Wyoming High School | Senior Pictures Downtown Cincinnati | Kaan
I always meet in advance with my high school seniors so I can get to know them to give them a customized experience for their senior pictures. When I initially talked to Kaan and his mom they told me ideas of what they wanted so I began to scout locations to ensure I found the perfect spot.
During our second meeting, I presented the locations that could give them what they wanted. We also discussed wardrobe selection in addition to incorporating some specific interests Kaan has. After receiving permission from Wyoming High School and Cincinnati Parks to photograph there we finalized the details of our shoot like timing, and what clothing would be worn during each portion of the shoot.
We started at Wyoming High School so we could get a few images where he plays tennis. Next, we headed to Downtown Cincinnati and the Smale Park area which offered other aspects that Kaan wanted in his senior pictures. He wanted an urban feel, a bridge, and some fall color in addition to the sport he plays. For fall colors we needed trees and in an urban environment that is nearly impossible. However, Cincinnati Parks has done such a tremendous job with Smale Park as it offers so many beautiful plants and trees and blends in so well with the city and was the perfect place to get all of the things that Kaan wanted without running all over the greater Cincinnati area.
Working with Kaan and his mom was a privilege, and I am very thankful they entrusted me to capture this special year.
